Benewah County Broadband RFI
Benewah County has issued a Request for Information (RFI)
Benewah County, ID is seeking information from parties interested in participating as a provider or as a member of a consortium in support of BEAD funding for the county. Benewah County is committed to the BEAD principles of universal service and is working to ensure that every resident and business in the county has access to high-speed service as required by the BEAD Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO.) Given the attention placed on active community involvement in the BEAD Scoring Rubric, Benewah County is proactively seeking partners to jointly plan, design, implement, and operate a network to bring broadband services to the county to begin now to ensure the strongest possible BEAD application for subgrantee funding. All submissions will be reviewed for detail related to Benewah County, alternatives described, and willingness to act as a partner or be an end-to-end provider and applicant. PLEASE NOTE that depending upon final Project Funding Area design issued by the Idaho Broadband Office, there will be funding areas that DO NOT require a 25% match in Benewah County as much of the county has been declared a High-Cost area by the FCC and NTIA.
